4.06 Detroit Vipers - RB Terrence Magee

In the real world: Magee, who was a quarterback in high school, played at wide receiver for his first two seasons at LSU. After moving to running back, he backed up Jeremy Hill in 2013 and had to take a back seat to true freshman Leonard Fournette last season. Over his last two seasons in Baton Rouge, he carried the rock 198 times for 1,197 yards and 11 TDs (6.0 yards per carry). The Baltimore Ravens signed him as an undrafted free agent. Magee has said that the Ravens' offense will be easy to pick up because it is similar to the one Cam Cameron ran at LSU. Evan Silva compared him to Knowshon Moreno. The Ravens present a potentially good job situation, even though they drafted Buck Allen in Round 4. Why? Justin Forsett is already 29, and Lorenzo Taliaferro, who was generally unimpressive last season, may not fit in the offense Marc Trestman is installing in Baltimore.
In the TUFF world: Here, the Vipers took another shot in the dark at adding depth at running back. A pessimist would argue that Magee won't serve as more than a "rotational" back; an optimist would say that backing up Hill and Fournette means "less wear on the tires", and having only played that position for two years means he hasn't unlocked his potential yet. I decided the glass was half-full of Kool-Aid and drank it.
