2.11 Carolina Convicts - RB Javorius "Buck" Allen

In the real world: The Ravens drafted Allen in Round 5 to add depth to their RB corps, which is headed by Justin Forsett. Forsett is 29 and becomes a free agent next year. Lorenzo Taliaferro is there, too, but aside from a couple long runs in games that were already blowouts, he was generally unimpressive and may not fit new offensive coordinator Marc Trestman's scheme. Bottom line, Allen lands in a very promising job situation.
In the TUFF world: The Convicts needed all the RB depth they could get their hands on, and as it happens, they have Forsett, so Buck Allen had to have been on their wish list going into this draft. Carolina's other top RBs are in less-than-desirable job situations: Chris Ivory may be in a timeshare with Zac Stacy on the Jets (and also Stevan Ridley when he is ready to return from his torn ACL), and Doug Martin's future is cloudy after back-to-back seasons of ineffectiveness and injuries.
