3.09 Houston Tethered Swimmers - TE Tyler Kroft

In the real world: Six years ago, I hailed Jermaine Gresham as the best TE the Cincinnati Bengals had drafted since Tony McGee back in the '90s. However, neither Gresham nor 2013 first-round pick Tyler Eifert have been worthy of that statement; they both battled injuries last year, and Gresham is gone. Thus the rationale for the Bengals drafting Kroft in Round 3. Their plan right now, working off the assumption that Eifert is healthy, is for Kroft to be the blocking tight end while Eifert is the "move" tight end.
In the TUFF world: I didn't expect Houston to go this way because they already have three productive--if not spectacular--tight ends in Jared Cook, Coby Fleener and Heath Miller. Kroft has the talent to outproduce those three--it all depends on the job situation.
